Proptech venture capital specialist Pi Labs has announced the latest new businesses that it will back this year.
Ask Pam, a chat-based assistancy service to help households get jobs done around the home.
Falcon DHQ, which describes itself as the digital headquarters for the private security industry.
Keepsite, a platform for those that design and deliver construction projects.
Storage Share, which helps landlords to rent out spare space, including attics and garages, to people looking for storage.
Dominic Wilson, co-founder and managing partner of Pi Labs, said: “Pi Labs is very much about quality rather than quantity, and we have an exceptional bunch of start-ups this year, in growth areas like construction and security.
“We saw an unprecedented amount of applications from companies across the world for this cohort, but have honed in on areas where there is a drastic need for innovation.
“Alongside our pre-seed investment programme, we also expect to participate in an array of later stage investments this year, so watch this space.”
Pi Labs launched in 2014 and has invested in 24 start-ups since. The portfolio has raised £20.5m in capital in total.
Under its accelerator programme, new businesses are helped under a 13-week mentor-led programme, culminating in a demo day in which they pitch to potential investors.
